Colección: Carnelian Collection
Shop natural carnelian gemstones and cabochons for jewelry making and collecting. Our carnelian collection features warm orange to deep red carnelian cabochons, tumbled stones, palm stones, raw nodules, and beads sourced from India, Brazil, Uruguay, and Madagascar. Carnelian is a translucent orange-to-red variety of chalcedony (microcrystalline quartz) colored by iron oxide, prized for its warm fiery hues and smooth waxy luster. One of the oldest gemstones used by humans — carnelian seals and beads have been found in ancient Egyptian, Roman, and Mesopotamian contexts. Natural carnelian can be distinguished from dyed agate by its characteristic cloudy distribution of color rather than uniform saturation. Treatment status disclosed on all listings. With a Mohs hardness of 6.5–7, carnelian is durable and excellent for cabochons, beads, pendants, and ring stones. Ethically sourced with full origin disclosure.
