Orders & Shipping

How long does shipping take?

Most orders ship within 1–3 business days. Domestic (US) orders typically arrive within 5–7 business days via standard shipping. Expedited options are available at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We ship worldwide. International shipping times vary by destination, typically 7–21 business days. Import duties, taxes, and customs fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

How are specimens packaged?

Every order is carefully packed with padded wrapping, foam inserts, and double-boxed when necessary to ensure your specimens arrive safely. Fragile and high-value pieces receive extra protection.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order ships, you'll receive a tracking number via email so you can monitor your package every step of the way.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Please photograph the damage to both the packaging and the specimen immediately and contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We'll work with you to resolve the issue promptly.

Products & Specimens

Are your minerals and fossils authentic?

Absolutely. All specimens sold at Morgon's Minerals are 100% natural and authentic. We source directly from reputable dealers, miners, and shows worldwide. Any treatments or enhancements (such as stabilization) are disclosed in the product listing.

Are your Ethiopian opals natural?

Yes. All our Ethiopian Welo opals are natural, untreated stones unless explicitly stated otherwise in the listing. We do not sell synthetic or simulant opals.

What does "hydrophane" mean?

Ethiopian Welo opals are hydrophane opals — meaning they are porous and can temporarily absorb water, which may affect their play-of-color. They should be kept dry. See our Care & Handling Guide for details.

Do your specimens come with any documentation or certificates?

Most specimens do not include lab certificates unless specified in the listing. If you require a gemological certificate for a specific stone, please contact us before purchasing.

Are the photos accurate representations of the specimens?

We photograph every specimen under consistent lighting to accurately represent color and quality. Monitors vary, so slight color differences may occur. For high-value pieces, we're happy to provide additional photos or video upon request.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), Shop Pay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through our secure Shopify checkout.

Is your checkout secure?

Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of natural specimens, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges unless an item arrives damaged or was misrepresented. Please review listing photos and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

What if I received the wrong item?

We're sorry for the mix-up! Please contact us with your order number and photos, and we'll make it right immediately.
